Workouts for Women

What woman out there hasn't wanted that perfect body? We can't all have that, but we can at least get our bodies in good shape. And that means we have to think of that dreaded word, exercise.

A woman's exercise workout is very different from a man's. Women have different goals, problem areas, and we don't usually get the same results as men. Men have higher muscle mass and lower body fat than women. A woman's ability to gain lean muscle mass is much lower than men's, because they tend to carry body fat in different areas. The hips, thighs, and waist are usually the areas women need to focus on a little more than men do, so women need more of a sculpting and toning exercise program. Studies have shown that for women, a combination of cardio, strength and flexibility training include, walking, climbing stairs, running, etc, or anything to get them moving at a moderate pace. Women will achieve much better results by working their whole body every time they workout. Regular exercising for women can help reduce the risk of heart disease, cancer and osteoporosis. Exercise can also help reduce the symptoms of menopause, PMS, and diabetes. The most important thing to remember is take it slow and easy as you begin your exercise routine. One of the best exercises is walking. The only expense for this is a good pair of walking shoes.

There are many different exercises out there women can do, so talk with your doctor, or a trainer to find which is the best for you. Also find one you enjoy so you will stick with it and get the great body shape you desire.
