There are many different ways you can strengthen your bones. Two different ways are by what you eat and how you exercise. It is proven that people who exercise have a lower chance of getting osteoporosis. Osteoporosis is a bone disease which makes your bones very brittle and break easily.
You can also build up your bones when you pull on your muscles, so by building muscle mass, you build bone mass as well. If you accumulate a lot of bone mass before you are 25 to 30, your bones will be healthy. Some exercises that you can do to build bone mass are lifting weights, jogging, hiking, climbing stairs, aerobics, dancing, badminton, tennis, swimming, and more.
Even something as simple as walking can help build your bones. Not only do these exercises help your bones, but they also help your muscles, heart, coordination, and balance. If you do these types of exercises about three times a week for thirty minutes, your bones will be on their way to becoming very healthy. You also do not have to do all thirty minutes at one time; you can do ten minutes in the morning, ten in the afternoon, and ten at night. You should vary the types of exercises you do each week; if you continue to do the same routine, your body will become accustomed to it.
You can also strengthen your bones with the foods you eat; green vegetables, beans, tofu, sesame seeds and oranges contain a lot of calcium. Calcium is very good for your bones. Milk and dairy products are also high in calcium.
