Exercise for Teenagers

Teenagers can get more exercise than they need if they have any kind of a social life. They can get together with their friends and go hiking or just go to the mall to walk around.

There are also dances most every week for school kids from the 7th grade up. It is a time when they can get to mingle with the other kids from other classes and meet new people. Kids today have so many things that they want but their parents can’t afford to buy it for them. So some of them get part time jobs that does not require a lot of exercise, not the right kind anyway. They may be on their feet, but they stand in one spot the majority of the time.

Those who have part-time jobs that require very little activity should walk to and from work or ride a bike. At least this will give them some movement that will give their body a little workout. The problem today is that most teens have cars and they prefer to drive everywhere they go. If they would just use their car for taking out dates or on the weekend to go to the park or on that hike they would be better off. A teen has to be taught that they need to exercise whether they are heavy or not it is very beneficial to the body. There is a saying if you don’t use it you will lose it, and that is especially true as you get older if you are inactive.
