How Can Children Motivate Their Parents To Be Healthy
For a child to motivate a parent to be healthy, the child must impact the parent’s life in a distinct yet consistent manner. They must push the parent to the realization that their lifestyle is full of bad habits that have been taking roots for years, and when more time passes by so the roots get deeper and become harder to pull out.
They not only have to be an example, but also push their parents and drag them to eat right, exercise together and make it a lifestyle. They have to get rid of all the temptations around the house. No excuses. They have to understand that it is for their own good and that they want them here in their lives so they have the opportunity to know their grandchildren.
The children can do everything in the world, but if the parents don’t get the message or have the initiative to change, they won’t.
The children can’t do it alone. The parents have to help themselves. They can only be guides and point them in the right direction. Parents need to understand that eating healthy is living healthy. It isn’t a momentary change, but a change in lifestyle that they must implement in their daily routine so they can be there for the good times and the bad, through the rain and snow.
