To stay motivated to exercise, set your goal. Try to be grateful for even small successes; the greater ones will come if you stick with your program. If your goal is weight loss, every ounce counts; if it’s waist sizes, every half inch counts. If you miss a day or two don’t give up. Remember to stick with what you want to do, and if you have found it difficult to get started for one reason or another don’t give up.
Start out by walking; it’s a good way to help you ease into setting up a routine. After you get into the habit of walking regularly, you can start jogging a little during each walk. Relax, don’t stress yourself, try to just talk to yourself and know that you can do it. Try to set a pattern up for both exercise and eating.
One way you can motivate yourself is to find a photo of the way you looked or how you want to look. This gives you something right in front of you to work towards. One way to start a motivation program is to change something about yourself, maybe a hair style or clothes style.
Don’t set yourself up to fail. Start with small goals. Start with five sit-ups or try walking just to the end of your block. Try not to set yourself up to lose. So start out slowly and then gradually work up to more by adding one or two extra push-ups or a small amount of whatever exercise you are doing.
